Q: WILL MY DOG BE WALKED WITH OTHER DOGS?
A: Yes! We believe dogs have more fun if they can play and interact with other dogs. Our groups are kept small with a maximum 6 dogs per walk. Groups are carefully selected with breed, age, gender and personality in mind and will be discussed with you beforehand.
Q: HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
A: See our prices page.
Q: Where will you walk my dog?
A: Dogs are walked in safe rural areas, away from roads where they can get the maximum freedom possible. Some of our favourite walking spots are Fulford Ings, Germany Beck and The Knavesmire.
Q: What areas of York do you cover?
A: We cover south central York and are now taking on reservations in and around Pocklington. See our contact page for a detailed map outlining covered areas of York.
Q: do you hold insurance?
A: Yes, Ben is insured to hold copies of your keys, has public liability insurance up to a limit of £5,000,000, as well as care, custody and control insurance.
Q: Is Ben police checked?
A: Yes, Ben has undertaken a Basic Disclosure check (criminal conviction certificate issued under section 112 of the Police Act 1997) and has no convictions.
Q: what would you do in case of an emergency?
A: In the unlikely event of an emergency, Ben will immediately contact you to decide the best course of action. If for some reason you cannot be contacted and medical attention is required, Ben will transport your dog to your preferred/stated vet.
Q: do you walk dogs that have BEHAVIOuRAL or AGGRESSION problems?
A: No, as we generally walk with small groups of dogs, we are unable to accommodate dogs that could be aggressive or disruptive to the rest of the group.
Q: do you walk dogs off lead?
A: It depends on your preference, but usually yes. We prefer to let dogs walk off lead to give them the maximum amount of fun and exercise. If your dog's recall is a little rusty, we can keep them on a long lead to let them run and play in safety.
Q: what is your cancellation policy?
A: If you need to cancel a walk at short notice, we ask that you give 24 hours notice. In this case you will not be charged for your dog walk, however cancellations giving less than 24 hours notice will still be charged.
Q: how will i be kept updated?
A: We use Whatsapp messenger (available free on Apple and Android devices) to keep you updated on our walks with short messages and pictures of your dog out having fun. We can even create 'group chats' to keep more than one person in your household updated at a time.
Q: how do i pay for walks?
A: For your convenience, we invoice customers via email at the end of each calendar month. Invoices can be paid by debit or credit card.
